A few others were reporting this a week ago. This basically says they shortened the downloads to 30 days from 18 months within the last few days:įor the account that wouldn't link (one of our IRA's, all other accounts were fine), the link drop-down menu did not offer the correct Quicken register. Apparently those duplicates were an issue for some but not all. Those are same instructions that I used too. This is for a brokerage account only (not an investor checking account - not sure if that makes a difference).
I followed the instructions to disable the old account, re-add as if it were a "new" account, authorized the Schwab link in the pop up screen, and then was able to "link" to my existing account in Quicken when it found our account at Schwab, totally avoiding the duplicate transaction issue you mentioned. Given the scope of what is getting reported, and delays to that original schedule, I have to question how much testing was really done before rollout.įor me, this is the first major Quicken problem I've had in years. Particularly all those who can't get their new connections working at all. I can't say I have spent much time on this, but I know others have and are frustrated. But most have been fine, so I'm just checking closer for now. Likely the same would be true for brokered CD prices, but that's just an educated guess.ģ)I've seen a few mutual fund distributions categorized incorrectly since the change. Several of us have reported this, but Quicken has not yet (last I looked, over weekend) acknowledged. I'm talking actual bonds, not bond funds (which are working fine), wherein daily prices are transmitted to Quicken from brokers rather than Quicken's quote service (for stocks and funds). This issue has been amply reported and Quicken, last I looked, is "investigating".Ģ)Schwab is either not sending bond prices, or Quicken is not receiving and mapping them. Not a big deal, but it does prevent register reconciliation. So, as of right now (knock on wood), it all works for me, with 3 minor issues that MANY others are also reporting:ġ)Either Schwab is not sending, or Quicken is not receiving and mapping, Schwab BANK balances to the Quicken register itself.
For those who don't, like me, I had to manually delete all that downloaded history. For those who automatically accepted downloads, this really mucked up their registers. Like everybody who downloads, new setup came with downloaded transactions dating back to last July 2020. I got most accounts linked on the 18th, except one that wouldn't linkįigured a work-around and got that last account working on the 19th For 8 Schwab accounts spread across 2 Quicken files. Yes, I'm stumbling through and have largely got it working.
